Terms
This is the agreement between you and aeso. We have tried to write it the way we write the app: short sentences, no traps, nothing designed to be skimmed past.
What aeso is
aeso is an informational tool. It reads accounts you connect and projects your balance forward through your upcoming payments and income. It is not a bank, not a lender, and not a licensed financial, tax, or legal adviser.
What aeso cannot promise
Projections rely on data from your bank and on patterns we detect in your history. Banks post transactions late, merchants place holds, and plans change. We work hard to be conservative — unconfirmed income counts as zero — but we cannot guarantee that a projection will match reality, and you remain responsible for your own payments and fees.
Your account
Keep your device and sign-in details secure, and give us accurate information. You must be at least 18 and using aeso for your own accounts.
Connected institutions
Connections are made through Plaid and are read-only: aeso can see your accounts, it cannot move your money. Your relationship with each institution remains governed by that institution's own terms.
Fair use
Do not attempt to break, scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer the service, and do not use it to access accounts that are not yours.
Paid features
The core number is free. Optional paid features are billed through the App Store, renew until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time in your Apple account settings. No feature that keeps you safe sits behind a paywall.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, aeso is provided as-is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending things
You can delete your account whenever you like, from inside the app or by emailing us. We may suspend an account that is being used to harm the service or another person, and we will explain why where we can.
